WHO IS THIS GUY?

Julianna McGuirl Photography

An East Bay Area native, Tyler fell in love with performing in his early years. Once he played the not-so-starring role of “Slim” in his high school’s production of Oklahoma! in the 9th grade, he never looked back. Tyler graduated from the University of Southern California in 2020 (yes, 2020) with a major in Theatre and a minor in Marketing. His home base is New York City, where he balances a life of comedy content creation, writing, and acting for both stage and screen.

Tyler recently completed a year on the road as Storyteller 2 in the first national tour of the musical comedy Shucked.

He has been lucky enough to work on a few exciting film/TV projects in the last few years, including co-star spots in the first seasons of HBO Max’s THE SEX LIVES OF COLLEGE GIRLS and Netflix’s THAT ‘90S SHOW. Tyler collaborated with Neal Mulani on his award-winning short film RAT!, after working together on TELL ME SOMETHING I DON’T KNOW. You also can catch Tyler in a series of ads for H&R Block (yay taxes!) HERE. Tyler co-wrote and starred in the short film CO-STAR, which recently completed a film festival run and is available to stream now!

Tyler is also writing the book to a new musical comedy with composers Jacob Ryan Smith and Dan Mertzlufft entitled The (Disaster) Marathon of 1904. The show was selected to be a part of the 2024 New Musicals Lab, and later won the 3rd ever Broadway Shark Tank. In February 2026, the team was selected to take part in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Grove at Goodspeed Musicals to further develop the show, and were selected as a part of the inaugural NEW. NEXT. NOW. development program, culminating in a reading later this year.

In between projects, you can find Tyler goofing around on social media, with content on TikTok (340k+ followers), Instagram (75k+ followers), and Snapchat (95k+ subscribers). You may also spot him interviewing folks at various press events in the New York area. In previous years, he has worked for actor Alan Cumming, New York Musical Theatre Festival, and Walt Disney Studios in their field marketing department. He wears many hats, but does anyone still wear a hat?
